Knowing what direction you want to go when it comes to photography can sometimes be challenging. Not putting myself in a box is the struggle i’m facing. I know what kinds of pictures I want to produce, and I know which market I want to be in, but when Im asked to go out of that I worry I might loose my vision, and take pictures just because. A wise man (my husband) once told me to seize these opportunities & create new challenges. I think for once I might just have to admit that he might be right! So when feeling unsure of my talent & potential, I will approach it with an open mind and a camera by my side!

Practice, Practice, Practice
I sit around just waiting for the next great location so I can grab my camera, and snap away. Ive realized that I get frantic sometimes while Im shooting pics of my kids because they move constantly. If they move 5 feet away I have to change all my setting once again. I know that with practice, and time I will be better at this. Trying to get one setting to flow with the next, and then the next is a little intimidating, but once Ive figured it out I am a happy girl…that is until my kids move again! These are some shots I took today. They were all taken outside and most on 100 in the ISO setting. When the kids moved to a shadowy area I have to remind myself that it was time to switch.
Practice, Practice, Practice!
For any questions on how I edit you can send me an email & I will fill you in!
A great photo day!
“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.” -Marc Riboud
Today begins a new journey. I am both excited, and hesitant of whats ahead. Excited to do what I enjoy & hesitant because my confidence isn’t confident. I am taking a leap of faith this year, and will work towards building a business doing something I love… Photography.
As I build my portfolio, I will be documenting my journey here on my little space. I welcome useful comments, advice and support.
