I love, love, love babies! Who doesn’t? I have four kids & my youngest is 5 so technically I have no more babies, so I get very excited when I photograph a sweet baby. Photographing newborns can be very challenging but it has its rewards. The expression on moms face when they see the final pic is priceless. I am learning that in my photography I want the outcome to look very natural & that when I try something other than that it never works. I am a fan of so many amazing photographers that specialize in newborn photography & I am in aww of how they can pose the babies & create beautiful art. However for me I want to focus more on the natural simplicity of the baby. In this past session I became frustrated because I was trying to do things (like pose baby) that don’t come natural to me & I could see it in the pictures. When I just take natural no so posed pics that’s when my best work surfaces. The moral of the story is, just be you. Create your own style & don’t try to do what everyone else is doing because its “in”. Your best work will always be what comes natural to you & that’s what will set you apart.
